Dependence. Benzodiazepines are potentially addictive drugs:
psychological and physical dependence can develop within a few weeks or months of regular
or repeated use. There are several overlapping types of benzodiazepine dependence.

對BZD的依存，一種潛在成癮的藥物
在穩定服用、或重覆服用、或服用數星期後，身心均會產生依賴。
以下會數種可能發生的BZD依存症

Therapeutic dose dependence. People who have become dependent on therapeutic doses of benzodiazepines
usually have several of the following characteristics.

因治療而成癮，的人，通常具備下列特質

1. They have taken benzodiazepines in prescribed "therapeutic" (usually low) doses for months or years.

以BZD常規「治療」數個月、甚至數年

2. They have gradually become to "need" benzodiazepines to carry out normal, day-to-day activities.

逐漸「需要」將BZD藥不離身、渡日

3. They have continued to take benzodiazepines although the original indication for prescription has disappeared.

需要持續使用BZD，即使既有症狀已經痊癒

4. They have diffi.y in stopping the drug, or reducing dosage, because of withdrawal symptoms.

因為戒斷症之苦，搞的停藥、或減量更痛苦

5. If on short-acting benzodiazepines, they develop anxiety symptoms between doses, or get craving for the next dose.

速效類的BZD，正常服用之下，兩次服藥之間，出現焦慮

6. They contact their doctor regularly to obtain repeat prescriptions.

急尋醫，以重覆拿到處方藥

7. They become anxious if the next prescription is not readily available; they may carry their tablets around with them and may take an extra dose before an anticipated stressful event or a night in a strange bed.

如果沒有藥，容易因此焦慮
不管上那去，藥不離身

睡不習慣的床、或遇到壓力時，會超量使用

8. They may have increased the dosage since the original prescription.

在原有處方下，可能已超量使用

9. They may have anxiety symptoms, panics, agoraphobia, insomnia, depression and increasing physical symptoms despite continuing to take benzodiazepines.

一遇「焦慮、驚恐、懼曠、失眠、低潮、逐漸嚴重的生理症」會持續服用

How can you tell if you are benzodiazepine dependent?

You may be dependent on benzodiazepines if:


在以下狀況時，可能會對BZD依存

you have taken a tranquilliser or sleeping pill for four months or longer

吃過四個月(或以上)的止痛藥、或安眠藥

you feel you rely on your pills to cope

覺得吃藥不能免
you have ever cut down or stopped taking your pills and have felt ill or anxious or experienced unusual symptoms

曾經停藥，但因此覺得身心難過、或焦慮、或莫名其妙的不舒服
you feel your pills are not having the same effect as when you first started taking them

現在的效果，不像剛開始那麼有效

you take an extra pill during a stressful time

曾遇到壓力時，而多吃幾顆

you tried cutting down or stopped taking your sleeping pills and could not sleep a wink

曾自己停過安眠藥，但因此不得眠
you have increased your dose

曾超量使用

you have increased your alcohol intake

曾經多攝取酒精類
The benzodiazepines are interfering with your life in some way, for example, sick days off work, family or relationship problems, diffi.y coping, diffi.y remembering things.

BZD干擾到正常生活。像:病假越請多多天、親友越來越少、難以應對、記憶力大不如前

you always make sure you never run out of benzodiazepines
