Ed ha practicado con todos los semidioses en algún momento. Desde ese desastroso torneo años atrás, Percy sólo entrena con su familia, pero hace tiempo y menos amargura de parte de él, Ed recuerda risas y la facilidad de moverse de Percy, la certeza y fuerza de Thalia, la terrible fortaleza detrás de Nico.

Pero igualmente puede recordar, años atrás, cuándo Piper no era nada de eso. Cuándo practicaba primero contra muñecos y con espadas de madera y terminaba con nudillos y palmas rojas. De todos los semidioses que hay y han habido, es con Piper con quién más ha practicado. 

Hoy día Piper esquiva y bloquea y ataca con destreza y Ed ríe mientras sus espadas chocan, disfrutando el entrenamiento, el conocer el tipo de combate de su enemigo y oh, Piper sería un enemigo formidable, incluso si se encuentra tanto más agradecido que en lugar de eso es una amiga increíble, valiente y leal y--

陽光煦煦的從窗戶灑進畫房裡，窗外偶爾還會吹來徐徐的風混雜著顏料的味道，房內的妳和之旭正在觀察彼此的臉，他薄荷色頭髮、漂亮的眉型、尖挺的鼻子和充滿溫柔的眼神，看著之旭妳手中的畫筆遲遲無法下手，就在眼神交會的剎那之旭對妳笑了，那溫暖的笑容衝擊著妳的心，他露出認真的神情緊盯著妳，忍不住拿起畫冊擋住自己紅透的臉。

and now a little something concerning death, because there have been a couple of deaths in the kingdom recently. first of all, if you're going to kill another person's character, then do so only after you have their permission, because there are going to be consequences for death. your character cannot simply die and then resurrect as though nothing's happened anymore.

if your character dies, then they'll go to the underworld for a short period of time ( usually between 5 - 7 days ) before they find themselves in an open grave in halloween town, complete with a headstone socketed with their communicator. because dying is generally known to be incredibly painful it's going to leave some lingering effects on your character and these will, of course, relate to how they died. for example: if your character's head was bludgeoned, then they may experience a series of really painful migraines. if they drowned at the beach, then they may constantly be short of breath. if they were stabbed in the side, then they may feel a really strong pain at the point of impact. get creative! the effects aren't permanent, by the way, and typically they only last for a couple days, but feel free to make your characters suffer a bit more by having them deal with the effects for a little longer.

but the pain is only the icing on the death cake. the cherry, oh!, the cherry is the memory that they must forfeit upon resurrection, because each and every death has an impact on the communicator and its ability to house your character’s memories. as soon as your character dies their communicator shifts into an irreversible safe mode before, finally, deactivating. a grim moogle will then materialize to collect the device, because even the slightest bit of damage dealt to it can affect the memories stored within, but that is the price they must pay to return to life. the memory is at the mundane's discretion and the first death's will, of course, be something minut, like a project they’d been working on or, perhaps, a conversation they’d been having. but with each death that memory must become more and more important to them until it's something close to their heart, like their parent's names, their world, their best friend, their lover, or themselves ( by that i mean their own name ).
