今天爆豪在實戰演練時動作顯然遲鈍了許多，不需言語的默契，讓切島看穿爆豪在隱藏著些什麼——他似乎拉傷了肌肉。演練後眾人各自回房間休息，直到澡也洗好了，切島依然很在意爆豪的傷。復原女孩到別市出差了，以爆豪的性格，他絕對不會告訴別人這件事，不知道他房間有沒有處理措施。

「爆豪——」，切島的食指弓起來，朝爆豪的房門敲兩聲，但房間裡的人沒有回應。

「爆豪？」木門隨著敲動後退了一點，看來門沒鎖，切島便小心翼翼推門進去。「打擾了⋯⋯。」切島探著頭四處張望，涼涼的薄荷油卻先被嗅進切島的鼻子裏。

 C. S. Lewis said, “There are far, far better things ahead than anything we leave behind.” Generally, people look to their futures, whether it is the next day or the next year, with hope and anticipation. Most go through their daily routine without giving it much thought. They enjoy interacting with others at work or in school. They may be looking forward to meeting friends. They may simply be looking forward to putting their feet up at the end of a long day. They laugh and play with their children. They plan events with family and friends for the future. On a warm, sunny spring day, they enjoy being outside. In fact, the sun and the warmth motivates them to exercise, plant, and throw the Frisbee to their dogs. They tolerate and even enjoy it all. 

Not all people, though, go through their day experiencing joy. Some are unable to see what C. S. Lewis depicts – that what lies ahead of us is promising. Rather, they see no hope of current circumstances changing. They feel hopeless and experience great despair that are the result of illness and/or life events. For these individuals, all too frequently suicide is the only alternative. 

Who are these people who see ending their lives as their only option? Frequently, individuals attempting suicide have been diagnosed with a mental disorder. Those suffering from depression are considered vulnerable and at risk of suicide. In addition, those with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, because they suffer intense mood swings, are also at risk of suicide. When post-traumatic stress disorder is the diagnosis, those with PTSD may attempt to end their lives because they do not see an end to the constant reliving of trauma, the intense anxiety, uncontrollable angry outbursts, and/or having to avoid people and places who remind them of the trauma they endured. Those diagnosed with schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and those with a combined mental illness and substance abuse disorder are also at increased risk. It is important to note, though, that most people with mental illness do not die from a suicide attempt.
