Hi Cynthia, I have to admit I wasn’t sure how to reply to this, given that you voted against everything that could have made me safe or happy. In the next few years we are facing some really hard times. Costs are going to increase because our rapist President doesn’t understand what tariffs are. My gay and trans friends are facing legislation that is going to put them in real physical danger. There’s talk of a national ban on birth control. Kennedy just proposed getting rid of my depression pills. My hospital gets bomb threats from anti trans republicans regularly. I feel like our morals don’t align any longer. I know you are not a hateful person, but when you align yourself with Nazis and rapists and pedophiles, it sends a message to your Jewish daughter in law. I hope one day in the future to talk to you again but right now I’m talking with sergio about protecting my cousin’s husband from getting kicked out of the country despite his naturalization status. I had to sit with Lexi the other day to talk about the likelihood of an ectopic pregnancy based on her birth control and what that might mean for her in a nation with a full abortion ban as we watched girls younger than her die in hospital parking lots in Texas. I don’t have any thoughts right now for anyone except victims of the coming darkness and I hope you understand why I don’t want to be near anyone who would vote for any of that. I love you but I think we all need time to figure out how to be good people in a world like this
