Single of the Year: Manatsu no Sounds Good
There's a reason why I completed all the versions available, not only because of the voting ticket. Not so generic A-side summer single, strong B-side tracks.
Strong contenders for this category are UZA, NMB's Kitagawa Kenji.

Song of the Year: Hikaru monotachi
I have quite a number of songs I like this year, including a HELL LOT of NMB's songs haha. Quick pick of some favourites are Virginity (if only the verses weren't like that), HA!, Renai Higai Todoke and Kitagawa Kenji. UZA was also on loop for quite a long moment. In the end, my choice falls to Mayuyu's Hikaru monotachi. I felt that this single is finally what fits Mayuyu well. I also admire her courage to sing such full-autotuned song live in all of her TV performances and she didn't sound bad.

Group of the Year: NMB48
Well, I gotta say I was rather let down regarding a certain HOTELGATE, you know. However, they won me over throughout 2012. I once did say that I will get into NMB sooner or later. Solid performers and great entertainers. Might not take long time before I completely jump to the ship. Paruru, I'm looking at you.

Member of the Year: Masuda Yuka
Okay I'm biased, shut up! *is shot* Well, I consider that her achievement in THE WIZ was really great, receiving a lot of positive critics from both fans or non-fans. Her departure from the group leaves a big hole in my 48 fandom.
Special mention in this category: Watanabe Mayu, Oshima Yuuko.

PV of the Year: Kodokuna Hoshizora
I'm so torn between Kodokuna Hoshizora and HA! and UZA, haha. Each of them were spectacular. In the end, I chose Kodokuna Hoshizora because everything was so beautiful in the PV. From the elegant looking furisode to the sexy kimono-style asymetric costume. From super gorgeous Mariko-sama to mature Mayuyu.

Costume of the Year: Kodokuna Hoshizora
everything as I said above, lol. NMB's HA! worth a mention as well. Did I ever mention I love kimono-style costume? *ahem*

Variety show of the Year: NMB48 Geinin!
Hilarious. Stupid. Nana old-hag jokes ahoy! And Sayanee, a lot of your expression worth to be plurk emoticon, ya know lololol.

Breakthrough member: Kashiwagi Yuki
Who ever thought I would actually like the reaction queen, eh? There was a time I kind of dislike her, lol. All thanks to Give me five and Yukirin playing drums. I have a soft spot for people playing drums, especially female ones. In addition, Yukirin played it well despite of the short learning time. Yes, Yuihan, I'm talking about you, lol.

Might notice the lack of SKE here. Well, I have no issue with SKE, it's just that.... I have yet to find anything that makes me interested in them, at least for now. They're great dancers, the best within 48 groups, seriously. But their songs aren't really my cup of tea. And I think they are better off standing on their own (if only the 48 managements allow that happening) and be the real rival of their older sister, AKB.
