There's something in duality, in playing at being more than yourself and being host to an idea, a concept, greater than just you that makes the hard things you face feel survivable. Having big hearts and big dreams, or learning that one lies from years of practice, and the other stumbles through lies from years of practicing honesty, only generates reasons to think, to admire.

He knows what flight is like, and aliens, he knows those too -- if the details don't match, that's never mattered, only that he smiles and laughs and feels like some kind of normal when he's anything but: that's something she can relate to.
