okay so idk if this first bit is a flashback or not?? the part with okuni stuck in the hell tree or what the fuck ever this is

she thinks of baren smiling and crying and she starts crying... and then she thinks "stupid baren... I guess I can't just die and leave you behind"

then she says "kiheita...?" which I'm guessing is this dude's name and she thinks "idiot, why did you come back" and passes out, when she opens her eyes baren says "AH YOU'RE AWAKE AHO OKUNI" and she sees his bandages and is like "WTF ARE THOSE INJURIES BAKA BAREN"

baren says momochi's dudes got the jump on him but that he'll get them back

she says "oh good, the bruise (/birthmark/markings, she says "aza") around your eye hasn't spread" and baren just "..."s her and then blatantly changes the subject lmao

he says the scroll (I'm guessing??) was left to kiheita and then I think he's saying they should wait until they can move completely, which I'm assuming means military action or w/e

okuni says nobunaga is on the move and that soon it'll be tough with just two people, and baren's like oh, you mean creating an army?

she says "you vaguely get it, right? this battle has become too much for us to handle" and I can't understand what he says in response but I'm guessing it's something like nobody's a match for them or there isn't anybody who could work with them and follow their orders or something... BAREN WHY DO YOU TALK DUMB

anyway okuni tells him "don't say we'll be on top" (i.e. above other people) and he !s her

then he says "I see, there's somebody who's a perfect match huh"

then it doesn't show who's talking, I'm guessing it's both of them but it says "somebody who believes so strongly in their conviction that it's scary" and then basically A FUCKIN WEIRDO WHO SOMEHOW GETS PEOPLE TOGETHER lmfao gee I wonder who it could be

okuni says "any objections?" and baren says NAH

then it says "shall we try taking on this burden?" and then it says "of that mikoshi" (mikoshi is a portable shrine that people carry in festivals) but the kanji says okoshi so idk if that's significant... the "koshi" kanji means like, interest or entertainment lmao so there's that

cut to sakichi in front of them and they're like wtf are you doing

he says he thought they were alive... since he didn't see their bodies and that there was no way those shameless loudmouths would die so easily... and he compares them to cockroaches... and they're like OI lmfakjg

but sakichi says it still hurt, and that if he'd just guessed their intentions a little earlier then maybe he could've done something

and they say DON'T BE CONCEITED

okuni says "we were the ones who decided" and baren basically says "what you thought you could have an effect on our actions all by yourself lmfao who do you think you are kid"

okuni says that if he was that worried about them then he should agree to what they talked about earlier (about them working with him to help him rise to the top or w/e, they say that together they'll be soldiers of fortune) and sakichi says OF COURSE, NO

he says he wants to be like hideyoshi-sama and doesn't give a fuck about the rest of the world and baren is very annoyed lmfao and okuni's like "DID YOU FORGET YOU WERE TWO STEPS AWAY FROM BEING DEDA you're gonna die a martyr before you get there" (she makes a pun actually lmao because he says "hideyoshi-sama ni junzuru mono" and his "junzuru" means "to follow" or "conform to" and then another "junzuru" means "to die a martyr" lmao)

sakichi's like oh shit yeah I have power huh LMFAO or at least that's the impression I got... anyway baren mcgrumpface reminds him that there are a bunch of assholes trying to wake up the orochi and targeting possible vessels

okuni says something about the kurodas and a one year imprisonment and that sakichi doesn't know when they're gonna come after him too

and sakichi's like HOLD UP WHAT ABOUT YOU GUYS YO I SAW SOMETHING LIKE SCALES UNDER THAT EYEPATCH and baren says it's just a bruise (or birthmark, again whichever)

okuni changes the subject to the scrolls and says that one more is with nobunaga, and that he's gonna try and come get theirs

sakichi says that his scroll was the one okuni got from iga, and asks why murashige had it, and thinks "if not for that, that person would've..."

baren says they were the ones who gave it to him, and I think okuni says they had kiheita deliver it

sakichi asks why and baren says that basically anybody with the courage and the desire to revolt against nobunaga would've been fine, and by doing that they'd be able to catch the people searching for the orochi

from "oda" to "iga", he says that abe's legitimate child being connected to iga was unexpected, but...

sakichi gets hella pissed about them using murashige for something like that, okuni says a rebellion would've happened sooner or later and I think sakichi p much yells that it doesn't matter what the outcome was, either that or he's accusing them of just talking in hindsight

he says "do you have no problem sacrificing other people for yourselves?! you should be different, when you (I'm guessing "loved") oumi that much--"

baren grabs his hand and tells him they aren't different, and that's the era they live in and you can't live on just lip service (or well "pretty things")

okuni says that the world is full of irrational things, that if you want to achieve your goals and stick to your beliefs, you have to prepare sacrifices too"

sakichi says he can't support that kind of thinking and that what they're doing is the same as nobunaga, and baren yells after him "THEN CHANGE IT! YOU CHANGE THIS ERA"

when he's gone baren says ANOTHER THING I CAN'T UNDERSTAND but I'm guessing it's basically IDEALISTIC FOOL or something like that lmao

okuni asks if it's okay not to follow him and baren says he won't listen to anything they say right now anyway, he says "he said it" and flashes back to sakichi telling them that he'll carry half the burden, and baren says THEN WE'LL HAVE YOU CARRY IT SAKICHI

and as he walks away okuni wonders if it's really okay to leave it like that
