so it starts with the villagers being upset bc their village got attacked, and they're blaming sakichi and saying they won't forgive him, etc etc

then Armwarmers-san shows up asking if everyone's okay, offering to help out, idk if any of these villagers are important but I'm guessing not so I'll just skip this bit lmao

then it seems like they start wondering if the twins are alive bc they're like HEY HAVEN'T OUR LIVES BEEN EXTRA SHITTY LATELY and armwarmers-san is like "you've got it wrong, they're the ones who asked me to help"

the villagers are like HOLY SHIT THEY'RE ALIVE?? and armwarmers is like "yeah I was surprised too, they just showed up out of nowhere and the first thing they said was WE WANT YOU TO HELP ISHIDAMURA"

ofc the villagers don't buy it and they accuse armwarmers of being buddies with the twins, she(?) says "you can believe whatever you want but it's because of them that we got help to you so fast"

then I think somebody asks why they didn't just come in person and gen shows up like HEY DID YOU FORGET YOU BURNED THEIR HOUSE DOWN (okay technically she says "have you forgotten what the people of Oumi did to the twins?" but same thing) and points out that they wouldn't have listened to anything the twins said

the kid (miwa)'s mom freaks out and they assure her she's just sleeping, and ask her to get the doctor

sakon says the village is safe now and then everyone's like HOLY SHIT IT'S SAKON, YOU DROVE OFF THE ENEMY RIGHT and sakon's like nah I was saved by the twins too, y'all should thank them

gen comments that they seem confused by the difference between rumors and reality, and says that it would be good if this cleared up the misunderstanding about the twins, "but then, what would happen if you lost your human sacrifices?"

sakichi pops up like HEY GUYS IS EVERYONE OKAY and armwarmers seems happy to see him but then somebody chucks a rock at him and they're all like YOU CAME BACK HUH TRAITOR MY MOM'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU WE'LL KILL YOU etc etc

the person next to gen says wow people are stupid, they lose one sacrifice so they just move on to the next person

armwarmers starts to defend him but sakichi stops her and says "do you have any proof that I did it?"

the villagers start yelling some more and gen and the other person are both like wtf he's just making it worse what a dumbass

sakichi's like "well if it keeps on like this then it won't matter what I say wow it's that easy for people to turn malicious on you huh"

he has a flashback of someone, I think the twins?? saying they'll reduce the burden of the hearts of people who make excuses like "everything's going wrong because they're here"

and he thinks that this is wrong too, and "what is happiness?"

he sees okuni peeking around the corner and wonders if she followed him, then he says that "there was an arson incident at Hachiman years ago, right? the one who set the fire was me"

ookuni thinks WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING and the villagers are like UH NO THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY THE TWINS?? WE SAW THEM THERE????

sakichi says they were trying to stop the fire, and the villagers are like SO THEN EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT????

he says he's not nice enough to wish for the happiness of fools who won't even try to see the truth, and "if you're going to hate me, then hate me"

okuni's like GODDAMMIT YOU MORON and goes after him yelling WTF ARE YOU THINKING

sakichi says he's doing the same thing they were, and okuni's like "you don't have to do that?? nobody asked you to???"

baren wanders up like oh you're back what's up okuni and she rats out sakichi, baren's like HAAAAAA???

okuni says "what you're saying is absurd" and sakichi yells "THAT'S RIGHT, I'M CONTRADICTING MYSELF"

he says that while he's wishing for peace in the country, at the same time he can't wish for those people's happiness, and when he looks at the twins they remind him of murashige, and that he feels bitter about it

baren says "but that's what 'troubled times' are" and sakichi throws back his "that's just this era", and that he won't allow blaming the era for things like grief or giving up

the twins ask sakichi if he hates them, if his own cowardice makes him angry, if the futile reality is painful

baren tells him that he's the one to change everything, okuni tells him to accomplish his ideals and create that country, and then I'm not quite sure but I think they're saying they'll let him dream

sakichi says that he's not just a vessel to stand on (to accomplish their goals I'm assuming) and goes into his old house and slams the door on them

he thinks about how it's nostalgic and that he hasn't been back in a while since there's nothing to come back for

he notices that it's already fall, and remembers that he met the twins in fall too... and then of course they barge in because there's literally nothing stopping them from doing so LMFAO good job sakichi... they're like YO WE'RE COMING IN GET OUT OF THE WAY, WHERE'S THE SAKE, WOW THIS TEACUP IS SUPER FANCY and he's like THAT'S ROBBERY but okuni just tells him they're sick of listening to his griping... then they go sit in the yard and say COME HERE

they say "LET'S EXCHANGE VOWS WITH OUR STEPBROTHER"

they tell him that if he says he doesn't want people standing on him, then rather than a master-servant relationship, they'll be with him equally, like a sibling

okuni tells him he doesn't have to think about anything difficult, baren says that they'll just do what they want anyway but their goals are the same as sakichi's, that's all

sakichi starts crying and says "you guys are shameless" lmao and he says that like he said before, he has no plans to make his own country, everything he wants is with hideyoshi, and says "even so?" p much asking ARE YOU SURE and they're like YEP EVEN SO

the narration bubbles say "it's you guys that are the wind that's carrying me"

AND THEN SAKICHI STARTS LISTING ALL HIS FAULTS LMFAO LIKE "I'VE GOT A BUNCH OF ENEMIES NOW I GUESS" and stuff and baren's like, well you're doing better than us lmfjkgh baren please...

then he says he's still not strong, but the fact is that since meeting them, he's begun to think that he wants to change the world with his own hands

then he says that sakichi is his childhood name, and that he received another name from hideyoshi but he's been too scared to use it

the twins are like "are you asking us to name you?" and then I think that say that although they're different by birth, the place they're aiming for is the same

I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THE NEXT BIT EXACTLY, I think they say they'll swear on their honor (/morality etc) that when they pass around the sake cup, they'll no longer be just two siblings... but the phrase they use (無二) can also mean "peerless"... so my guess is probably both

sakichi says "I want a world with no battles"

okuni basically tells him to shut up and work on sticking to his beliefs, baren says that it's their job to wrench open the way

baren asks what he's gonna do, since there's nothing else for him here, and I think sakichi says he was ordered to go to the palace... I'm guessing to go see nobunaga... and sakichi's like WOW I SURE DID VEER OFF-TRACK HUH OOPS

then somebody comes by and honestly I have no idea what they're talking about I'M SORRY LMAO it looks like they just came to see if something had happened... but then I think they make some weird threat?? I can't even tell and then they just peace out so whatever

baren says "a ninja huh" and okuni says something about kouga, which I'm guessing is a place... anyway they ride off talking about nobunaga and where they're going etc and the twins are like SAKICHI WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T HAND OVER THE SCROLL, THEIR GOAL IS THAT SCROLL, DO YOU GET IT, DON'T BE STUPID and sakichi's just like GET THE FUCK OFF ME

baren's like DON'T BE SO DISTANT, BROTHER and okuni's like BEING CLOSE IS SO MUCH NICER THO and sakichi just yells at them for messing around... and then they let him crash and ride off without him smdh

anyway IT'S MITSUHIDE, sakichi introduces himself and tells him they're off to see the wizard--I mean nobunaga... mitsuhide's like uh you'd better pick another day NOW'S NOT A GOOD TIME and sakichi's like how bout I do anyway

and then it looks like the rest is just them getting to the castle and a bunch of descriptions about it and the layout and stuff, which I will do if you're interested but it doesn't seem that important
