it starts off with okuni saying DON'T SAY DUMB THINGS LIKE "I WANNA BE A WARRIOR", baren says I'M NOT I JUST SAID I WANNA TRY BEING IN BATTLE

okuni tells him to stop it like "isn't peace the most important thing??" and he says "you wouldn't get it" (specifically he says お前はわかってねぇなア which is his usual punk slang let's see if that changes)

okuni's like "are you saying that because I win?" and he's like I GO EASY ON YOU yeah okay whatever you say baren

she says "we were made for the sake of our role" (she specifically says "forged") and tells him not to poke his nose into weird shit, he's like I KNOW I KNOW

then I think he's thinking that even though she's strong, okuni wouldn't understand since she's a woman... since he's like BUT A MAN'S GOTTA DREAM AT LEAST ONCE baren pls

then he fanboys nobunaga and says basically the same stuff he said in ch40 about getting tinglies in his soul and he thinks "someday, if I can stand on that battlefield too--"

cut to present where baren's yelling for his people to knock everybody off the cliff... the guy glaring at him is like HAVE YOU LOST YOUR DANG MIND HOW COULD YOU CUT DOWN MIYABI and baren stabs him and tells him that his movements are predictable when he's angry and knocks him off the cliff too

then he says "don't worry, I'll send you off to your beloved leader now"

the dude (I'm sorry I recognize his face but I forgot his name lmfkjhg) says I WON'T FORGIVE YOU RENGOKUMONO, and then I think it's baren talking? he says "if you're resentful then resent yourselves for coming here" and the dude says I'LL KILL YOU as he falls

baren turns and sees ako and is like ANY COMPLAINTS?? and ofc ako stomps off grouchily... baren tells everyone to go back and that everything should be easier now that kunitomo's been annihilated

THEN IT'S THE BIT WITH OKUNI the only part I didn't mention was at the beginning where she says "YOU NOTICED, DIDN'T YOU?! OUR (I'm assuming 'our') EYES MET, EARLIER, DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU DID?!"

and after he leaves her the ninja (shishimaru?? I think it's shishimaru) says "is it okay?" and then I think he's saying that okuni's probably gonna be upset... he says 片割れ which means a ton of things but in this case I'm assuming it's the "twin" usage lmao

anyway baren's like "idk what you're talking about" and he says "it's hard for you too, right? deceiving your twin, saving kunitomo..." and baren's like !!!

then there's the bit where shishimaru is like I KNOW YOU KNOW THERE'S A LAKE THERE YA SOFTIE but also you're kinda scary rn dude

when he says baren's gotten attached to iga baren's like "is that tanba's aim?" and shishi says that momochi's got no heir... going by strength it'd be kaishin but he's a shinobi by nature so he's not suited for it

baren's like AND I AM??? and shishimaru says "at least for now, momochi needs you"

baren basically says YEAH THAT AIN'T HAPPENIN LET ME DO WHAT I WANT THANKS and shishimaru says "let's make a deal"

he says he won't mess with okuni or the kunitomo, baren's like "are you threatening me? even if you do that I'm not gonna be leader" and shishimaru says "that's fine" and that what he wants is the continued existence of the village, and his own death

AND THEN IT'S TOUBEE'S BIT which I already told you, it's only the last page where whatshisface shows up and says WAAAAH HOW SURPRISING, YOU FELL DOWN HERE SO SUDDENLY~~~ and she's like who the fuck are you, the end
