OKAY so it picks up right where last chapter left off, with whoever that is screaming NAIVE... he's basically yelling about how WAR MEANS ERADICATING THE ENEMY AT THEIR ROOTS and stuff

then he says THE STAR HAS ARRIVED YAAAAA NAGAYOSHI-KUN IS HERE

sakon's like mori nagayoshi??? fck and everyone's like WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ARE WE BEING ATTACKED and sakon's like no, they're allies......

somebody's like um... aren't you supposed to be with nobunaga right now and nagayoshi says NAH IT WAS BORING SO I FUCKED OFF BE GLAD I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU and that his troops...?? dry up if they don't get enough blood...

and he yells C'MON Y'ALL LET'S GO DESTROY IGA VILLAGE IT'LL BE A MASSACRE YAAAAAA

some creepy looking dude says he can give them directions to the village... he wants to kill them all because they didn't pay attention to him

then it looks like they find some ninjas? bc nagayoshi is like OHO GOT SOME LIVE ONES and sakon says COULD YOU MAYBE CHILL does nobunaga know about this you can't just go around doing whatever you want??? but nagayoshi's just like IDGAF and kills them anyway while yelling about remembering his name in hell

they go nuts killing the ninjas, tsutsui asks sakon if he's okay and sakon's like that fucker was seriously gonna take my head off (I think... close enough)

tsutsui's like yeah, people call him the "yaksha musashi" (basically like a demonic warrior) bc he's a bloodthirsty villain that loves massacres, and that he p much never listens to his master's orders so it makes sense that the people he's commanding are the same way

sakon's like well fuck what can we do to help and I think tsutsui p much says it's not his fault/tells him not to blame himself, since all this is coming from nobunaga... and that they aren't gonna stop until iga's been trampled into the ground

cut to tanba who asks if it's true that nagayoshi's aiming for the village, the ninja says yes, it's his crest and that they're moving at ridiculously fast pace even at night... even though they're not supposed to be in this battle??

tanba thinks that if the village's location has been discovered then somebody must've switched to nobunaga's side

ninja-san asks if nagayoshi's really that much of a menace and shishimaru is like eeyup he's as bad as you can possibly imagine

tanba orders shishimaru and rintarou to go back to the village and help everybody escape, and he tells baren to go too

he says everybody else should keep going to hijiyama and follow kaishin's orders, and then tells ichiha and ouka to go with him

baren's like "and just where are you headed" and tanba says "to kill nobunaga"

baren says "you're going to strike with just three people?" and that he thinks there must be hundreds of people they'll have to get through

he says "I'll go. You were planning to bomb him anyway right" and tanba's like "ho? you noticed, huh" and then baren says "well that's the only reason you'd use an outsider right"

tanba says "it'd be interesting to use your fireworks, but I changed my mind" (I'm not quite sure what he means bc I doubt he planned for baren to blow himself up lmfao WHATEVER)

anyway he has a flashback to baren saying "what you're looking at is iga, not it's people" and "those are my mother's teachings" and "think of the individual and love the whole. become a person who loves and is loved"

he says "it seems that your foundation is based on 'love'. In that case, I want you to use those stupid teachings to try and protect the village"

(the word he uses for "stupid" is 温い which is actually like "lukewarm" or "tepid", but it uses the same kanji as the word for "warm" (温かい) which is a word often used with feelings of love, like "warm feelings")

then he says "actually, no... please try and protect it" (phrased as asking a favor or making a request)

he says "you're not from iga so you should be able to do it, right?" and starts to walk away, baren says TCH OI and gives him his coat, he says "I've been taking care of that for ages. It's heavy" (or he asks "how long am I supposed to keep taking care of this?" but same meaning)

tanba says "it seems like you're surprisingly unsuited to be at the top" and baren says "I think so too"

shishimaru says "let's go" and then I'm not quite sure what baren says but it seems like LET'S KICK THE BUCKET IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE

tanba's like "yeah, let's" and they head off

cut to a messenger saying they've taken control of momochi fortress, and that the main troops are marching to hijiyama with tsutsui's troops

he also reports that toubee died in battle, nobunaga asks what the kunitomo group is doing and the messenger says they're still with the main troops, nobunaga's like "there's no disorder even though they lost their leader, as expected of the kunitomos"

sakichi's freaking out internally like TOUBEE'S DEAD BUT WASN'T SHE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTING FROM THE BACK WHAT HAPPENED

gen's like 'sakichi can you hear me' through her ladybug and sakichi's like "what happened?! there was a message that momochi fortress fell, but... what about kunitomo? baren? okuni? are they safe?" and gen says she's just now arrived at momochi herself

she wonders what on earth could've happened and thinks "the twins couldn't come together?!" and then calls out to okuni, asking her to respond if she's there

okuni answers with "sakichi-chan..." and sakichi asks where she is now, okuni says "toubee... baren is..."

sakichi says "there was a big explosion, are you alright?" and okuni says "explosion... that was toubee, but..." and she realizes that with that much blood she must've known she was gonna die

she thinks "the one who pulled the trigger was baren" but then thinks "no... baren couldn't have stabbed her..."

she thinks "there's no way it's true... but... that's the first time I've seen baren with that sort of expression..." and "this kind of lie... I don't understand what he's thinking... I can't trust baren"

she says "sakichi-chan... I... what should I do?"

sakichi stands up and p much says SO YEAH I GOTTA GO SORRY BYE

nobunaga says "where are you going? what reason do you have for turning your back on me?"

sakichi says "I want to rescue my siblings. that's all there is to it" and then it ends
