OKAY so the first bit is the same as the ending of last chapter, with sakichi being like SO I GOTTA GO RESCUE MY SIBLINGS BYE

he gets surrounded by soldiers who are like WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK WE'LL ALLOW THIS and then someone else runs up like YO THE ENEMY'S MOVING

He says he got a report that Momochi Tanba and some others are headed their way, everybody's like ????? but today's battle is over?? could it be a nighttime attack???

the messenger's like "uh a-also apparently mori nagayoshi's army is trespassing" and the others are like NAGAYOSHI?? so that tanba must wanna hurry up and end this battle then...

messenger-san says that they can't catch them while they move in the dark and that it probably isn't going to take them very long to arrive

nobunaga's like hm well it's typical nagayoshi to go trespassing instead of sitting and waiting for orders, right? and ranmaru says "tch THAT FOOLISH OLDER BROTHER"

nobunaga orders them to fortify their defenses, they're gonna try and meet them in an ambush and he puts ranmaru in command, ranmaru's like ?!?!? and nobunaga says "don't be nervous, I am here"

then he says "or would it be alright? if I moved on my own" (essentially saying like I MEAN *I* COULD GO INTO BATTLE MYSELF IF YOU WANT~~~)

ofc ranmaru's like ......no please wait here, I'll settle everything right away

apparently no one cares about sakichi anymore because he just stands there like "?" while ranmaru goes to gather up troops

he says "I am--" but nobunaga cuts him off and tells him to follow, he says "It won't take long. I won't say it again"

cut to gen, who says "mori nagayoshi is invading, tanba is going to nobunaga's army... this is unexpected"

she says tanba's probably aiming to strike at him simultaneously, and says "master, please do be careful" (I assume she's talking to sakichi?? she says nushi-san)

apparently she doesn't get a response though and she says "? master?" and then hears a noise

IT'S SOME DUDE WHO'S VERY ANGRY he's like EVERYTHING IS A FUCKIN MESS IT'S ALL THAT BRAT'S FAULT and then gen comes out of nowhere to attack him

he says "ahhh yuzuki-chan!" and ofc she attacks, he's like WOW YOU'RE AWFULLY PASSIONATE TODAY

then he says "did you want to see me that much? even though we could be allies this time, how awful" (as in, her attacking him on sight is rude lmao)

gen says "what a joke" and attempts to blow him up, he appears behind her like OUCH IT HURTS TO HEAR THAT FROM YOU :(

he say "so you destroyed the prohibitions after all, as expected of yuzuki-chan"

she says "even though you should be on neither iga's side nor oda's side, are you aiming for the vessel again?"

he just smiles, she's like YOU MUST HAVE LOTS OF FREE TIME and he says noooo from morning to night I'm working so haaaard doing my duuuuuty it's gotta be so hard on the shikigami I left behind to take my place rn

he says "when you're good at dealing with things you end up with more time than you know what to do with, so I figured I'd come up with a hobby"

"a hobby called 'the orochi revival', that is" and he attacks gen

she thinks about how he wasn't even chanting just now, and she's like "his personality may be whatever but he's one of the most talented onmoyouji"

she gets a scary look on her face and thinks "if I can just kill him now...." and seimei says "what a good face, yes get more interested in me" (or 'make me more interested in you' but w/e same diff)

she says "I hate gentlemen who love themselves too much" and sends a bunch of demons at him

he says "why? after all, you're your own best ally. isn't it natural to love yourself?"

"people are traitors. I don't let anyone understand me, and I don't try and understand others. So I have to value myself the most"

then I think he's complimenting her work? saying she did her duty well and worked hard every day, then it's a little complicated bc he says "it's fine to depend upon me, you don't need to endure anymore" but the phrase he uses for "depend on me" is also mainly like... "to behave like a spoiled child" lmao

anyway he's got the creepy shadow face thing going on and says he'll forgive everything no matter what she does (I hate that "forgive" and "allow" are the same word bc I never know which one it is but you get the idea)

gen says "it seems you weren't taught not to be a nuisance to other people" and headbutts him

he's like OWWIE STOP I'M NO GOOD WITH BEING CORPOREAL

she says "if you're going to say such a thing, I shall raise an objection" and on the next page "as the one who will obstruct your path"

seimei says "...is that as 'Ashiya'?" and she says "as one ability user you're obsessed with" (she says 'jutsushi' and I forgot how I translated that before but you get it)

he laughs and says "that's good. alright, yuzuki-chan, I figured you might do this for me"

he distracts her and disappears and she's like "where?!", he says "I love myself the most, but I like you best after that"

"and I'm envious"

"please continue to entertain me, yuzuki-chan"

she says "you're running away?!" and he says "first is this battle, right? good luck getting through this safely~"

the last thing he says is "currently iga is at a disadvantage, but nobunaga's not there, so there could be a chance to turn things around~~~"

she thinks "nobunaga's not there?" and says "what... right now, he should be... he should be at... master's side.......?"

cut to nobunaga grabbing the ladybug she was using to communicate with sakichi and crushing it, he says "there are a lot of bugs today"

sakichi says "how far do you intend to go? You just told me yourself not to leave..." and nobunaga says "finally there aren't any more watchdogs. don't speak so formally" (I think?? he says 固い事を云うな which is literally "don't say hard things" but from what I can tell he's basically saying NOBODY'S AROUND YOU CAN RELAX A LITTLE)

sakichi notices his hand and thinks "an artificial hand? I never heard anything about that" and asks "is that hand from the battle the other day?"

nobunaga says "no, it's from long ago" and sakichi's like ???

he remembers him saying "is it fine? if I move on my own" and just now saying "it's from long ago" and says "my... lord...?"

and the last thing he says is "who are you?" and it ends
