1 2 3 4 5 6 7 | SO. Reira Akaba (Named by her neighbors for 1) being a tiny, tiny thing, and 2) because of the horse that literally dragged her in) originally stayed with a small family consisting of an elder brother and their single mother, though bore little resemblance to both. The family were a bit reclusive, and had only recently moved into the area from seemingly elsewhere as it was; the most their neighbors know is that they simply...Appeared, settled in, and refused to say anything about themselves. Then one day the family got ready to seemingly leave in the same way-Mother, Brother, and little Reira all took their meager belongings and headed out with nothing but that, their horse, and their dog, and must have gotten stuck in Some Kind Of Weather because rather than continuing safely along the designated paths they simply vanished-but eventually the horse (spooked and rather worn) managed to return with a fairly catatonic Reira. The family's neighbors tended to the girl (while the farm, sadly, entered a bit of disarray) until she was well enough to look after herself again; but whatever happened, she remained rather quiet, and mousey, leading them to request Professor Oak allow her to join in on the Pokedex hunt. The theory was that she'd be able to hopefully open up easier with a pokemon, and that the tasks would help her focus on recovering in general. ICly, they help about with her chores only when she is actually doing them; this is mostly to explain how a 7 year old's seed planting day has as much success as an adult's seed planting day, and they don't interfere when she's not around (So hah, no abused NPC help here). Reira adopts a Bulbasaur. (The horse, on that note, was kept by the neighbors, as the poor thing is in no condition to do normal horse things these days) Also of note, Reira will have a Ghost Affinity (which is probably how she got back with that horse to begin with) ...that or psychic...still waffling on that.... |
