1. What is their favorite thing about your character?
north's seemingly endless calm in the face of bullshit. no matter what's going on or what north's having to deal with (whether it's missions going sideways or just his twin), he seems to keep it together and keep his mind on the objective.

2. Least favorite?
oddly, it's the same thing. outside of a mission, the calm can come across as patronizing or just plain bewildering. maine wonders if north ever truly gets pissed off, or if he ever acts on impulse. for someone as fueled by anger as maine, it's bizarre; he doesn't understand it.

3. Do they have any fears involving or regarding your character?
none that i can think of.

4. Are they envious of your character? What do they envy?
north has south. maine doesn't want south as a sister, but he envies north still having that relationship; all of maine's siblings are dead.

5. What do they admire about your character?
his patience, his level-headedness, and his combat ability.

6. If they could swap bodies with your character for a day, how would they spend the day?
tbh he'd probably hop in place for a while bc WOW SO MUCH LIGHTER!! and then he'd try using a sniper rifle (if available), like using north's body would magically make him better at it. ofc this is all after he tries to find north like 'UM??? I HAVE YOUR BODY, WHAT THE FUCK.'
oh wait, if he got theta as well as north's body? heeeee would probably spend the whole day talking to theta. just fascinated by this little dude in north's head.

7. If they could take one personality trait and/or physical feature from your character for themselves, what would it be?
he might want to take north's ability to step back and calculate for a whirl, but maine wouldn't keep it. he's comfortable with who he is and doesn't want to change.

8. Are they keeping any secrets from your character? What are they?
not that he knows of. there's a lot of stuff that maine doesn't share, especially about himself and his background, but that's because he doesn't think it's anyone's business. it's his private life; why would he share it? there's nothing he's deliberately like, 'oh i must not tell north this thing.'

9. Do they trust your character? How much? What would it take to break that trust?
yes; enough to follow north's commands in combat. it would take some sort of betrayal (from maine's perspective) to break it. something like hurting someone maine cares about, or joining the insurrection. big things.

10. What is their first impression vs. current impression of your character?
first impression: calm, experienced, capable. current impression: intelligent, patient, deadly.

11. Do they like your character better now than when they first met?
his opinion hasn't changed much. they haven't really bonded or anything (north's busy with south, and maine sticks close to the other sniper), but maine's impression is generally positive. confused at times, but he doesn't DISlike north.

12. What is their favorite thing to do with your character?
training and missions, most likely. maine enjoys working with his teammates. he'd like hearing north's bird-eye assessment of the situation before they move in.

13. In a horror movie, which role do they think your character would play?
… either the dad or the stoner.

14. What animal or plant does your character remind them of?
hm. maybe an alligator or crocodile. sits there like a ~nice log~ and then BAM, shoots a dude from stem to stern.

15. What is their ideal afternoon spent with your character?
cleaning weaponry after a long mission. north's thorough and isn't going to skimp on it, which maine appreciates.

16. Would they date your character? Hook up with them?
it's never crossed maine's mind. he'd be surprised and a little mystified by any interest. he wouldn't be opposed to hooking up; he trusts north, which is key for maine, and it might be nice. but he wouldn't be interested in dating without a much deeper emotional connection.

17. Would they betray your character? Under what circumstances?
yes. he'd do it if he thought it was for the Greater Good, or if it was a choice between north and someone maine really cared about (e.g., wash).

18. Would they kill your character? If not, what could potentially force their hand?
yes. it'd be the same sort of circumstances as #17.

19. Would they die for your character?
yes. spoiler: maine things he's pretty fucking indomitable and doesn't entertain the possibility that he might die. he'd just jump right in front of a bullet for north without thinking about it.

20. If they could change one thing about your character, what would it be?
hmmmm… he'd remove some of the calm outside of missions. not all of it, but enough to see when north is genuinely happy, annoyed, etc.

21. What do they associate with your character?
twins, objectivity, and purple.
