Ben - definitely kind of a troll at times, if a sometimes sulky troll. Loves Klaus to pieces but...really wishes he would get his shit together. Just realized he's probably so sad!ghost at the start because he had to just watch his whole family fighting.

Also, we've seen that Ben does have control of the tentacles, which I would think would definitely more make him the otherdimensional horror himself, and I wonder if it doesn't have a little to do with why he personally has such ghostly stick-to-it-ness.

And so our options for Diego: Cop he has at least a little bit of a past with, who as a young dumbass yeah, found the vigilante crap and get-up kinda hot, but probably ghosted hard when it (I'm guessing) gets Diego booted from the Police Academy. Becomes a cop, and keeps running into him, with potentially an on/off thing and the odd arrest here and there because seriously stop it man. (But lets face it, the draw is absolutely still there.)

...yeah that beats 'partner of an old friend, who puts up with him pretty much because they trust there's a reason said partner didn't beat their head in yet, and lets him go at the end out of pity/memory.

...oh my god so I think we might need to just genderswap/fix Patch up a little because I'm absolutely seeing a comment about playing 'cop and vigilante' that starts out hinting at fun with handcuffs, moves on to Diego cuffed to something naked (probably the bed) before Patch goes to leave the room and tells him someone'll let him out in the morning. ...coming back a minute or two later (before he can lose hope and just pick his way out), with like.. a little bottle of oil and, '*Right*. You were thinking more the porn version, weren't you?'

And like, a lot less 'does things not by the book once, gets shot and killed to give him angst that goes nowhere ultimately.'

Like, look, she can get shot, I don't mind that, gotta give Klaus his chance to run off for vietnam adventures, that's all.

Trying to figure out what direction is best for Vanya's future boyfriend. Unsure so far. xD
