SO, after posting these suggestions to the bestiary, I got to thinking.

In Food Fantasy canon, humans (and Food Souls) can become Fallen Angels. Fallen Angels can also come into existence due to a concentration of chaotic energy. To quote the translated lore: "Fueled by hunger, greed and sins, they imposed their will on humanity." All of these facts would fit in pretty well with The Door's method of selecting characters.

(Note, there's also a whole bunch of convoluted stuff that I've tried to omit or streamline for the sake of presenting this as a hopefully cohesive plot suggestion. But I can try and explain further, if you want!)

I'd like to propose an event where Fallen Angels invade Hadriel, essentially. This could happen one of two ways (or maybe both):

Option one: the chaotic energy that the city naturally has spontaneously spawns Primordial Fallen Angels. These FAs are somewhat human-appearing and (allegedly) more intelligent than the second option. They are also less powerful, though have their own annoying set of abilities. As examples, I offer Uke Mochi and Garuda.

Option two: chaotic energy latches onto people in the city and transforms them into Parasitic Fallen Angels. This turns the person into a highly powerful, aggressive monster. These FAs include Nekomata, Queen Conch and Inugami.

Notable is the fact that, despite being aggressive monsters, Fallen Angels have been shown having conversations, personalities and greater plans and intentions. They're not simply bloodthirsty murderers, so players would definitely have room to play with the change and do something other than go on a rampage.

To make things more interesting than simply "you've got to murder your friend-turned-monster to save them", perhaps characters with curative powers (Hope's Blessing, or other healing abilities) could be able to slow or reverse the changes? I'm not entirely sure, but opening this up to allow PCs to do more than just fight off these new monsters is something I definitely want to have.

Solving the overall problem of this infestation is something Steak and Red Wine aren't qualified to do, beyond simply killing rampaging FAs. As a result, I think the conclusion of this event would require the help of the rest of the PCs (or the NPCs if there's no interest from the players) — either by finding a magical way to seal it, or to push it back through The Door? Since fighting FAs is the central part of Food Fantasy gameplay, there's no real canon basis for how to solve a Fallen Angel infestation beyond "set your Food Souls on them".

This suggestion has been read by and discussed with Red Wine's player before posting!
