So today we're diving in deeper to the master care component of our member care model, looking at a thriving team environment begins when a leader creates space where people can receive care from God first. B:Okay, for me, for myself first, experienced how God really cared for me. Master care is about how we live with the Lord. So I really experienced that. So when I lead the team, I think it's not what I made for them, it's a kind of, I really experienced that so I also emphasize that. So we created this kind of environment or atmosphere for our leaders or even for our staff members to see we really need to depend on the Lord. 好的,對我來說,首先是我自己經歷到上帝是如何真正地關心我。「主關懷」是關於我們如何與主同行。我真的經歷過。所以當我帶領團隊時,我想這不是我為他們做了什麼,而是我真的經歷過,所以我會強調這一點。因此我們為我們的領導者,甚至為我們的同工們,創造了這種環境或氛圍,讓大家看到我們真的需要依靠主。 A:Yeah, absolutely. I like that it begins with your relationship with the Lord, that you have received that care from Him and that you really want to help others make that a priority as well. So what was your vision for creating an environment where your team prioritized God's care over performance? B:Because God is the center. So we need to focus on Him first. I really like the logo of a Cru. I like the new logo. Actually it's also an old logo. It's talk about Christ-centered life, and it talk about our DNA. So I think this also encouraged me to lead the team and even for myself to live out this kind of lifestyle. So that's why I also lead my team to trust God. 因為上帝是中心。所以我們需要先專注於祂。我真的很喜歡學園的標誌。我喜歡新的標誌,其實它也是一個舊的標誌。它談論的是以基督為中心的生活,也談論了我們的 DNA。所以我認為這也鼓勵了我去帶領團隊,甚至對我自己而言,去活出這種生活方式。這就是為什麼我也帶領我的團隊去信靠上帝。 A:Yeah. I don't know if this is really my vision or not, but I really want to see we trust God. And then I'm always reminded by the example of Bill Bright. How he launched this organization and how he really devoted himself to the Lord. So whenever I think about leading, I always thought of his example. And I'm also very happy now David Robbins kind of remind us the DNA again, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. So this is also a great example. I think we have many great examples in Cru to remind us to keep the same vision, not my own vision. Is to keep the vision God has entrusted to us. How do you make space for them? 妳如何在工作日、日常生活、事工當中,為妳的同工創造空間,讓他們與上帝連結並從祂那裡得到關懷?妳是如何為他們創造空間的? B:I think that's their job, not my job. But at least I created this kind of environment for our team to know we really need God. We are His servant. So in Taiwan we don't call leadership team, of course we also call leadership team, but we call servant team more. Because I hope our leaders will acknowledge we are just a servant. So when I was appointed to be the National Team Leader, I of course I have to recruit some leaders to be the leadership team. But when I recruited them I told them it's not my job to call you, it's God's job. So I asked them to pray and get confirmation from the Lord. So I just gave them two points to pray. The first one is are they willing to be a servant? Because I know being a leader is not the secular perspective. From the biblical perspective is to be a servant. So I ask them to pray are they willing to be a servant. And then the second one is are they willing to to love staff? So we are empowered, entrusted by God and by our staff members to lead our organization. So we need to love them first. Of course also love God. So this is my heart to recruit our leaders. And I know this is from God's calling. I just encouraged them to pray and then get a confirmation from the Lord. So when we started this team, the first three months we pray first. I think if we are really God's servant, we need to follow what God wants us to do, not just only pray by ourselves. Every Friday afternoon we spend one hour to pray together, especially for first three months. But later on our leaders feel it's very light and also if we really follow the Holy Spirit, it's not a burden to serve Him. So since 2021 we started this servant team. We pray regularly every Friday afternoon, even until now. And we enjoy the time and we pray for different ideas, different aspects. I really enjoy that. So I don't know if we say we created this kind of culture, but I think it's just lifestyle for every Christian and every staff. 我想那是他們的工作,不是我的。但至少我為我們的團隊創造了這樣的環境,讓他們知道我們真的需要上帝。我們是祂的僕人。所以在台灣我們不稱之為領導團隊,當然我們也用這個詞,但我們更常稱之為僕人團隊。因為我希望我們的領導者們能認知到我們只是僕人。所以當我被任命為國家團隊總幹事時,我當然需要招募一些領導者來組成領導團隊。但當我招募他們時,我告訴他們,呼召你們不是我的工作,是上帝的工作。所以我請他們禱告,並從主那裡得到印證。我只給他們兩點去禱告。第一點是,他們是否願意成為僕人?因為我知道成為一個領導者,不是從世俗的角度來看。從聖經的角度來看,是成為一個僕人。所以我請他們禱告,他們是否願意成為僕人。第二點是,他們是否願意去愛同工?我們被上帝和我們的同工們賦予權力、被託付來領導我們的機構。所以我們需要先愛他們。當然也要愛上帝。這是我招募我們領導者時的心。我知道這是來自上帝的呼召。我只是鼓勵他們禱告,然後從主那裡得到印證。所以當我們開始這個團隊時,前三個月我們先禱告。我想如果我們真的是上帝的僕人,我們需要遵循上帝要我們做的事,而不僅僅是自己禱告。每個星期五下午,我們都花一個小時一起禱告,尤其是在前三個月。但後來我們的領導者們覺得這樣很輕省,而且如果我們真的跟隨聖靈,服事祂就不是一個重擔。所以自從 2021 年我們開始這個僕人團隊,我們每個星期五下午都固定禱告,直到現在。我們很享受這段時間,我們為不同的想法、不同的方面禱告。我真的很享受。所以我不知道我們是否能說我們創造了這種文化,但我認為這只是每個基督徒和每個同工的生活方式。 A:How do you model personally receiving care from God in your own leadership? 妳個人在自己的領導崗位上,是如何示範從上帝那裡領受關懷的? B:I received the care from the Lord since I lived in Korea. I used to serve in regional office before. So I lived in Singapore three years and also moved to Korea for another three years. But when I lived in Korea I don't speak Korean so life was very tough, and even I encountered many cultural conflicts. So since then, I feel God really cultivated my relationship with Him in a lot of difficult time. So I didn't expect that, but because my life was so difficult, so I started attending a nearby church's early morning prayer. I think many people knows Korean church has a dawn prayer. So I just joined a nearby church to have the dawn prayer. Then initially I know I need to release my burden and my troubles before the Lord. So every day I pray, not because I like to pray. If you know me well, you know I like sleeping more than praying. But I pray because every day I just receive enough strength for the day. It's just kind of I just receive enough manna for the day. So every day I need to pray earnestly to trust God. And since then I feel God is so close to me, and since then I really experience God really cares for me. So now it become my habit. So every morning I wake up and pray and I enjoy the sweet time with the Lord. 自從我住在韓國時,我就從主那裡領受到了關懷。我之前在區域辦公室服事。所以我在新加坡住了三年,也搬到韓國住了另外三年。但當我住在韓國時,我不會說韓語,所以生活非常艱難,甚至我遇到了很多文化衝突。從那時起,我覺得上帝真的在很多困難的時刻,培養了我與祂的關係。所以我沒有預料到,但因為我的生活太困難了,所以我開始參加附近教會的晨禱。我想很多人都知道韓國教會有晨禱。所以我就是參加附近教會的晨禱。一開始我知道我需要把我的重擔和我的煩惱交託給主。所以我每天禱告,不是因為我喜歡禱告。如果你很了解我,你就會知道我喜歡睡覺勝過禱告。但我禱告,因為我每天都能得到當天足夠的力量。就像是,我只是領受了當天足夠的嗎哪。所以我每天都需要懇切地禱告來信靠上帝。從那時起,我感覺上帝離我很近,從那時起,我真的經歷到上帝真的很關心我。所以現在這成了我的習慣。所以我每天早上都起床禱告,我很享受與主同在的甜美時光。 A:What's been the most rewarding outcome that you've seen from this approach in your team's dynamics or their individual well-being? What have you seen as a result from this approach? 在妳團隊的互動或他們個人的福祉上,妳看到這種方法帶來最有價值的結果是什麼?妳看到了什麼樣的成果? B:It's a good question. I didn't expect any result, but I'm very happy to see our leaders now they kind of ultimately to trust God. Initially I tried to encourage them to do so, but now I feel they also enjoy that, to lead their team with prayers. So now prayer is really our foundation. We always say, prayer is the foundation of every ministry. Not just a slogan, it's become a real life. So I can see all our activities start from prayer time first. And then I think our leaders also taste that how God really care for us and we can really work with Him. Actually we are working with the Lord to see how He speaks to our heart and lead our step by step. 這是個好問題。我沒有預期任何結果,但我很高興看到我們的領導者們現在最終都信靠上帝。一開始我試著鼓勵他們這麼做,但現在我覺得他們也很享受,用禱告來帶領他們的團隊。所以現在禱告真的是我們的根基。我們常說,禱告是所有事工的根基。這不只是一個口號,它變成了真實的生活。所以我可以看到我們所有的活動都是從禱告時間開始。然後我想我們的領導者們也嚐到了上帝如何真正關心我們,我們真的可以與祂同工。其實我們是與主同工,看祂如何對我們的心說話,一步步地帶領我們。 A:What would you say to a leader or someone who's listening to this podcast who wants to create a similar environment, but doesn't know where to start? What would be a next step you would encourage them to take? 對於正在聽這個 podcast 的領導者或其他人,如果他們想創造一個類似的環境,卻不知道從何開始,妳會對他們說些什麼?妳會鼓勵他們採取的下一步是什麼? B:If you ask me how I could encourage them to take, I think it's just pray. The scripture also reminded me, several years ago I attended the Global Leadership Conference. At that time we invited some student leaders to join it. Remember there was a panel and then the host asked some student leaders, what make your ministry so success? And then I couldn't forget one student leader just said, pray, pray, pray. That really impact my heart. We try to find some kind of secret. We trying to know a secret, you make the movements on your campus. We try to figure out some secret. But I was so encouraged by students. They just reminded us, just pray and let God lead us. So if you say if I could give leaders some tips, actually I don't have any tips and even my tips I don't really know whether my what I do is really fit to them. So if you ask me, I might just encourage leaders to pray to the Lord. And I believe God knows everything, God knows their situation. When we pray, God will answer. 如果妳問我會如何鼓勵他們採取行動,我想就是禱告。聖經也提醒我,幾年前我參加了全球領袖高峰會。那時我們邀請了一些學生領袖參加。我記得有一個座談會,主持人問了一些學生領袖,是什麼讓你們的事工如此成功?然後我永遠忘不了,一個學生領袖只說了,禱告、禱告、再禱告。那真的觸動了我的心。我們試圖尋找某種秘訣。我們試圖知道一個秘訣,讓你在校園裡發起運動。我們試圖找出一些秘訣。但我被學生們深深地鼓勵了。他們只是提醒我們,只要禱告,讓上帝帶領我們。所以如果妳說我是否能給領導者一些訣竅,其實我沒有任何訣竅,即使我有,我也不確定我的做法是否真的適合他們。所以如果妳問我,我可能只會鼓勵領導者們向主禱告。我相信上帝知道一切,上帝知道他們的情況。當我們禱告時,上帝會回應。 A:What a great way to end our conversation, Angela. It's we need to pray. We need to depend upon the Lord. And like you said, to encourage people, take the time to pray. Pray on your own, pray together as a team. That that is how we depend upon the Lord and what a beautiful way He's given us to communicate with Him and He with us. So thank you so much for joining us today. Thank you for that reminder of depending upon the Lord and receiving our care from Him through prayer. I think that is a great way to wrap up our conversation. So thank you for the encouragement that we need to continually come before the Lord in prayer.
