I had a conversation with this woman that boggled my mind. She was asking me if I recycle and I said, yes I do of course and that I found it very odd that California doesn't require it like back east. So she told me that she read somewhere that recycling is basically useless and we should just go back to putting everything in landfills and what have you because when the landfills are paved over they emit enough methane gas to produce some such number that she quoted and I was like...speechless. She's very much in favor of landfills now but as with all new things I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I think I'll look up more information though, because its still pretty interesting.
