I had to take a bunch of french classes and also history, geography and religion all in french to get it. Which probably is why I hated history, geography and religion. 2. I am very musical, I've had piano lessons, started and stopped three times, got to a grade four level the last time before quitting, it required far too much practicing to get better from there. I can also play the alto sax, trumpet and the flute, though its been years since I have now. I sing too, but I don't profess to be an amazing singer, I love to sing harmony and I sing in a choir as an alto. 3. I've actually been to band camp, was part of a marching band for years, though I swear it was cool when I was in it. We got to travel a lot but the best was when we went to Germany.. I remember them welcoming us with steins of beer when we arrived, I was 15. My favourite thing we did there was go to see the Neuschwanstein castle, the one the Disney castle was modeled after. 4. I've only ever had to move once, from my parents house where i lived for 24 years or so, to the house I live in now which used to be my grandfathers, and it has two kitchens, a fig tree and grapevines outside (he used to make wine) , and is in desperate need of redecorating. 5. I was going to go to university but took a couple years off out of high school to work. Then decided to take Interior Design at the college instead. I got hired on my very first interview after I graduated and have worked for an electrical engineer ever since, doing electrical and lighting design blueprints. 6. I'm half italian, my father was born in Italy but was an only child. I haven't met most of my italian family because they all still live in Italy, I'd love to go there one day and meet them. The only italian thing I really do is make an amazing meat sauce, and a delicious lasagna, and I have a general love of pasta. 7. I used to be in majorettes. I did the whole dance routine thing, twirling batons and flags and wore some snazzy outfits. Thats all I'll say about that. 8. I've played all kinds of sports, baseball being my favourite, which I've played since I was 5, but its been a few years now. Volleyball is my second favourite and I played this past summer in a recreational beach volleyball league. 9. I've travelled a hell of a lot more in the U.S. than I have in Canada. I've been to Hollywood, Las vegas, crossed the border into mexico just to say we've been there, the Grand Canyon, Florida four times, Washington D.C., Graceland, Chicago and New Orleans to name a few places. As far as Canada goes, I've been to Quebec aside from Ontario. 10. I've climbed a waterfall, well seven actually. Took a tour in the Dominican Republic showing the countryside and culture, then at the last stop they told us we'd be climbing waterfalls...unexpected. No stairs or anything just climbing up over the raging falls with the help of the guides. It was scary at first but I did better than I thought I would and had a blast, the person with me not so much. |
