1 2 3 | An ancient gelatinous starbeast has made itself a pest by feeding off of interplanetary ('short' multi-week star cruises are still popular, despite the superior speed of travel offered by Threshhold Gates) cruise and transport ships, latching on to them and absorbing their energy exhaust. This would be little more than an irritant and a curiosity if it didn't also have a habit of absorbing people's mental energies! It does so, despite not seeming to be able to digest them, and invariably ends up 'regurgitating' these energies almost instantly. Again, this wouldn't be a problem... If the energies ended up in the same bodies. Unfortunately, the switches seem random. In short, people's minds are ending up in the wrong bodies, and suddenly a relaxing cruise has turned into a nightmare for some as they wake up wearing the wrong forms! It's up to the Legion to capture, contain, and correct the issue. However, can they do it once the creature's decided to test its appetite on them, leaving them with unfamiliar bodies and abilities? |
