「這個決定是在新西蘭Queenstown的一家酒吧喝酒時做出的（被John Rhys稱為drunken meeting和fiendish decision哈哈），發起人是開花（他認為是自己），因為開花已經有一個紋身在腹部了（小太陽那個），就想再紋一個來紀念他們的友誼和在新西蘭共同度過的歲月。

於是V叔找了一家紋身店，問店主可不可以在周日為他們紋身，但是那個店主拒絕了（傻乎乎的）。

第二天，V叔直接穿著阿拉貢的衣服，拿著阿拉貢的劍去了紋身店，這時候店主才知道他們在拍《魔戒》，終於為他們打開了店門（其實是被V叔嚇到了吧）。

每個人都紋了一個精靈語的“9”，除了JohnRhys，矮人先生表示：如果我每一部電影都紋身，就變成一個行走的廣告牌了(If I had a tattoo for every film I wasin, I'd be a walking billboard by now!)，但他的替身演員代替他紋了一個，他還開玩笑說“有危險的時候把替身演員送上去，這才是職業演員”，第三張圖開花牽著的就是矮人先生的替身Breet。

此外，PJ拍攝結束後也湊熱鬧紋了一個“10”。

第三張開花的手是不是還腫著？

Elijah Wood的紋身紋在腹部（圖片質量太渣就不發了），Sean Astin和Billy Boyd都紋在腳踝，因為他們覺得作為一個霍比特人，所有的時間都花在腳上了（噗，確實）。

這是開花的原話：I think it was mine, I don't know [laughs]. I already had a tattooon my belly. I thought of the tattoo to celebrate our friendship, the time wespent together in New Zealand. Viggo called a tattoo parlor and asked if it waspossible to do nine tattoos at the same time, on a Sunday. The man refused.

The next day, Viggo went to the tattooparlor wearing Aragorn's clothes, with his sword in one hand. [ laughs ]. So,he explained that we were making the movie Lord of the Rings. The man openedhis tattoo parlor just for us. All the nine got the tattoo done, a nine inelvish. Even Sir Ian McKellen got one…」
