Marianne knew as soon as Alice opened her mouth that she had taken comfort in her good friends. She rushed over, quickly growing concerned. She knew that Alice had this terrible vice, of course, they all needed to cope with things somehow, but whatever was on her mind was troubling her greatly. She reached forward to try and steady the other woman, determined to make sure that Alice didn't make anymore of a mess. "You weren't picking up your phone, either," she frowned. "You're going to tell me what's wrong, and I won't leave until you do."
