確信不疑
Certainty is the great enemy of unity.
確信不疑是合一的大敵
Certainty is the deadly enemy of tolerance.
確信不疑是寬容的死敵
Even Christ was not certain at the end.
即使基督到了最後也無法確信

天主，我的天主，祢為何離棄我？
He cried out in his agony at the ninth hour on the cross.
在十字架上第九個小時，祂痛苦哭喊
Our faith is a living thing, precisely because it walks hand in hand with doubt.
信仰正是因伴隨著懷疑而具生命力
If there was only certainty and no doubt, there would be no mystery,
如果內心確信不疑，就沒有奧秘
and therefore no need for faith.
也就不需要信仰
Let us pray that God will grant us a Pope who doubts.
祈求天主賜予我們會心存懷疑的教宗
And let him grant us a Pope who sins and asks for forgiveness, and who carries on.
請祂賜予我們一位有罪並尋求寬恕能負重前行的教宗
