Something I like about them: EVERYTHING- okay only sort of not really. Ieyasu is my spirit animal and I say that a lot but it’s true because genuinely he’s really optimistic, idealistic, well-spoken, and honestly tries his best to be a leader that is capable of bringing about peace. THAT’S REALLY HARD FOR ME TO DISLIKE.

Something I don't: HE SPEAKS FROM THE HEART. And what comes from the heart is often really, really pretty and in his head, it’s honest. But the problem is that it’s impossible to get the actual results you want if you’re speaking to someone who fundamentally disagrees with you. Also he’s totally hypocritical and tragic and has a tendency to hide his angst behind creepy laughter so there’s that too.

Favorite episode/scene/issue: UH. Honestly the one in Tadakatsu’s route where they find him at Ujimasa’s castle just looking at cherry blossoms, cries. I think that’s when I was really, really sold. He just wanders up like HEY WHAT’S GOING ON, AREN’T THE FLOWERS PRETTY? (what an idiot)

Favorite season/movie/run: GAME VERSION IEYASU, DOES THAT COUNT. And I guess red route because in every other route he’s like “LET’S TAKE OUT MITSUNARI AS SOON AS POSSIBLE” and no that does not compute in my head.

Favorite line: Okay honestly I can’t think of one, all the ones that come to mind are really gay tbh.
Favorite outfit: Default. Dat crop top tho.

Favorite picture/fanart: http://www.zerochan.net/590961 (THIS ONE IT WILL ALWAYS BE THIS ONE)

OTP: Canon-wise? Mitsunari/Ieyasu. RP-wise? Judith and Ieyasu were always my weak spot-

BROTP: Masamune & Ieyasu until the end of days.

Unpopular opinion: This isn’t a major one it’s more a change in priorities but idk the common idea seems to be that Ieyasu has ambition to rule Japan under his own terms as opposed to Hideyoshi’s and that’s why he killed him, BUT I genuinely do think that he was doing it for the bonds? It’s not that he wanted to be ruler by himself but really that he couldn’t see Hideyoshi’s rule ending up in a good way for EVERYONE. So as much as I think that Ieyasu has dreams of a unified Japan, I don’t think that means that unified Japan is supposed to be under him. He lacks that level of ego. (That’s what I love the fan creation of Dark!Ieyasu for.)

An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: If he ever PROPERLY gets replaced by Masamune as Mitsunari’s rivalry, I might actually have to kill someone. THAT WAS KIND OF ANNOYING IN SB4, NGL.
