The letters, when combined in a certain way, form the names of various angelic beings mentioned in The Book of Zohar and Midrashim. Two examples:

Kokaviel - כוכביאל (master of the stars; the Hebrew word for star is "כוכב")

Boel - בואל (Boel is said to "command the four corners of the Earth". He is said to transform himself back into Rafael when humans repent. Rafael comes from the Hebrew word Refuah, which means remedy, as remedy from the harsh judgement is being offered to humans)
