At the end of Martin Luther’s (Leader of the Refermation in the 1500s) life he attack the Jews. This was highly unusual for him, I guess you could say it was an anomally. So the writer of Martin Luther by Eric Metaxas makes this statement, “....force us to ask whether a person’s life can be seen as a whole or must be taken in parts, as thought we were not one person who can be perceived as a simgle person throughout our lives, but be some concatenation of persons spread throughout our lifetimes.”

This is a great question for us today, can a persons mistake ruin the rest of their life? The evidence of our culture today is “yes”. You say one wrong word or have a weak moment in your life and your are “toast.” Why? Maybe becasue we have made everything political.
