Kizuna's mother died when she was nine, which is given surprisingly little clarification - we know it wasn't of a disease because "nobody in [Kizuna's father] Riichi's family ever had a disease he could have a good reason to fund to cure", so that means it was at least somewhat more sudden and therefore traumatic. I cut the difference with a drunk driver. This is also a clear indication that even though "Big Sis" was living with them for six years, she was never recorded as part of their family. Anyway that father really sucks.

Kizuna canonically hates herself and wants to fall asleep and never wake up. (Link below.) Suicidal ideation that may or may not be fueled by other mental quirks! I also think this is clearly inextricable from a type of bisexuality. Personally, if the character grew up in a very secular environment, I cross off the religious trauma box on this meme in the sense that they're going against the higher power of logos, I'd do the same for Ryota Mitarai as well.

Kizuna is subjected to stalking to the point of being followed as she walks towards the restroom. And is harassed by a group of thugs at least once. And is kidnapped for about a day which includes being shackled to a chair. And then in the subsequent explosion, where at least guy is missing assumed dead after trying to save her, falling rocks result in her spinal cord injury, which it is reasonable to consider losing "her legs" even though she does retain partial range of motion just not standing and walking. It's generally inferred that she endured invasive medical treatment after this. So yeah I feel justified crossing off sexual violence and torture. There's also some gunfire later.

I have crossed off the "was made by someone who wants them to suffer" square in the Doylist sense that she is a fictional punching bag. She never even gets explicit closure about being abandoned by her "big sis". Why. At least she gets to unload a gatling gun.
