Sira felt his body shaking, a keening cry rising up in his throat as his tail slipped loose, its pointed tip slashing through the bonds at his feet. He couldn't believe the audacity of this monster, using his own, precious dagger to hurt the man he loved. And oh rys this was not the time to be having a revelation like that!
With a roar Sira leapt upon Nasrin, not caring that his wrists were still bound together and his arms to his torso.“Ryshe ka petakna,” Sira swore as they fell in a tangled heap of limbs on top of Daim. Nasrin let out an angry bellow, rolling off of Daim and throwing Sira to the ground in the process. Sira lay next to Daim, panting.
“Oh you're going to pay for that,” Nasrin said, staggering to his feet. He looked around for his dagger and smiled in triumph. Sira followed his eyes and was horrified to find it embedded just below Daim's clavicle, the hilt sticking straight up into the air.
They stared at each other for a long moment, catching their breath, then Nasrin pounced.
Sira twisted at Daim's side, pivoting from the hips to slam his foot into Nasrin's side.
