These souls have a lot of different applicable traits, but the dominant trait is the one that determines the color of the soul. There are other factors that can determine a soul's appearance/how it is read, but the color is far and away the most important part as it says a lot about how the human reacts to situations. There are 7 dominant soul traits to choose from (bearing in mind that this is definitely kind of a hogwarts house situation, i.e. the same traits can mean very different things depending on the person. not all slytherins are necessarily evil, not all gryffindors are necessarily good, etc). It's also important to remember that these traits all can exist inside one soul, but it's the predominant one that determines the color. Having a yellow soul (justice) doesn't mean you can't have a lot of kindness (green soul) as well. The traits (and their broad meanings), are... Determination (red soul) - essentially the overpowering desire to progress and continue. Refusal to give up, no matter what. A driving force to continue despite everything, even if it's not necessarily a good thing. Patience (light blue soul) - a desire to wait and bide ones time, until the opportune moment to act. Cautious, careful, calculating. Bravery (orange soul) - Someone who is unafraid of consequence and runs fist first into obstacles, despite the danger. Very much act first, think later. Integrity (dark blue soul) - Essentially "originality." Uses unique methods to overcome obstacles and always looking for an alternate solution than the obvious one. Perseverance (purple soul) - Someone who relies on their skills and intelligence to get out of dicey situations, and keeps a cool head even when the situation seems bleak. Kindness (green soul) - An altruistic soul whose motivations come from a desire to help, not hurt. Someone who cares for others above themselves, usually, and tends to act for them rather than themselves. Justice (yellow soul) - Justice, by any means necessary. Whatever a person finds to be 'just,' they will seek to defend that cause with a riotous sort of attitude. Kind of like the vigilante soul, I feel. |
