#<A daily life immersed in Chiikawa>

Recently, a wave of adorable Chiikawa fever has swept through Cradle. The shopping district regularly plays the latest short episodes and sells related merchandise, attracting large crowds. Seth hasn’t missed this trend either; every week, he and Alice arrange to visit the collaboration shops together.

“Thank you, Alice-chan, for coming with me to this limited-time collaboration tea cafe! This way, I can collect the merchandise even faster~♪” Seth rested his cheek in his hand like a young girl while taking a big bite of cake.

“I’m happy to be here with you too, Seth san… but do you think it’s a bit too expensive to keep spending enough to get a chance at the lottery?” Alice hesitated, glancing at the menu.

“Oh, nonsense! They say money never disappears; it just transforms into something cute~ Who could resist the charm of Chiikawa?”

Ever since Seth became obsessed with Chiikawa, he’s been collecting all kinds of related merchandise, especially loving the main character, Chiikawa. His bed is covered with Chiikawa plushies of various sizes.

“Isn’t it amazing how Chi-chan, who always looks so endearing, can suddenly summon such courage and take on the enemy in critical moments?”

“(So, he prefers the cool side, huh?) That’s true~” Alice sipped her refreshing tea.

“Which of the cute characters does Alice-chan like best?”

“Me? If I had to choose just one, I think I’d go with Hachiware~” Alice shyly lowered her head.

“Oh~? Why’s that?” Seth asked curiously.

“Because… um, don’t you think it looks a bit like you, Seth san?” Alice glanced up at Seth, who slowly widened his eyes.

“Eh~~~~ Hahahaha!” Seth burst out laughing so hard he could barely breathe, causing nearby customers to turn and stare, making Alice quickly nod apologetically at them. Seth, however, seemed completely unfazed by their gazes.

“Haha! I don’t think I resemble such a cute creature at all! I’m laughing so hard I’m crying; alright, let’s keep up appearances!” Seth fanned himself, taking deep breaths. “Ah~! is it because of the blue hair?”
“That’s part of it, and that tail reminds me of your ponytail…” Alice, just like Chiikawa, spoke softer and softer in embarrassment.

“Haha… It’s an honor to remind Alice of such a cute creature! Hachiware is indeed very endearing, and that scrappy look reminds me of my old days, barely scraping by… But now, that’s not the case at all! Thanks to the Black Legion’s salary, my sister and I are well-fed and taken care of—enough even to support Alice-chan, no problem at all!” Seth struck an optimistic pose with a cheerful smile and a fist-pump.

“It’s not like that!” Alice shouted, catching the attention of nearby people, causing her to blush, “I’m sorry…”

“Alice-chan…?”

“It’s because Hachiware always has such an optimistic attitude, which reminds me of you, Seth san. Your cheerfulness always brightens up those around you, and you’re always loyal and considerate of your friends… So… when I see Hachiware, I think of you.”

“Oh, you’re making me blush~!” Seth shyly covered his cheeks. “With Alice saying it so plainly, how could I not respond~?”

In a sudden shift, Seth’s expression softened as he spoke earnestly, “Actually, the reason I love Chiikawa so much is that I see a bit of Alice in her!”

“Eh, eh?!”

“Though she gets shy easily, she’s small but determined, and would go all out to help a friend in trouble. That’s… what Alice-chan is like in my eyes!” Seth remembered how Alice had once saved him from the depths of despair, like a gallant knight.

“Seth san, you’re exaggerating…” Alice hid her face, continuing to eat her cake in embarrassment.

After returning to the Black Army’s headquarters, the two began discussing their haul in the lounge.

“Wow~ thanks to Alice’s lucky draw, we finally completed the whole set of characters! Let’s give the duplicates to the other squad members!”

“Sure! Let’s pick them together!”

“For Ray, it’s gotta be the powerful Rakko, of course!”

“That suits him well! I think Luka also has a bit of a Chiikawa vibe~”

“Then let’s give him this one! Usagi can go to Fenrir, since they’re both loud, hahaha! And the Kuri-Manjū that looks like an ossan—definitely for Sirius himself!”

“S-Seth…!” Alice felt a cold sweat as Seth enjoyed himself, oblivious to the looming shadow behind him.
“What did you just say?” Sirius and Fenrir edged closer to Seth.

“Uh… well…” Seth hesitated but, not wanting to lose momentum, loudly replied, “Huh? What? These gifts are also a token of my appreciation!”

“E-everyone, calm down~” Alice speak softly, though it didn’t seem to help.

Curious, Luka quietly picked up a Momonga and examined it closely, “So, this is… Chiikawa?” No, that’s a Momonga!

“I prefer Hachiware. Thanks, Seth!” Ray, who liked cats, picked his favorite character and waited to watch the show.

The Black Army was as lively as ever today.
